Validation for The Applicant Review
The Applicant Review is a well-validated screening tool that has been successfully used by organizations in the United States and Canada for more than twenty years. A comprehensive Technical Manual detailing the research and development of the Applicant Review is available from IntegriView upon request. This manual presents information regarding the psychometric properties of the instrument including subscale contributions to the honesty screen, reliability, validity, and a robust nationwide norm reference group. The Technical Manual also reports adverse impact studies showing the Applicant Review does not discriminate unfairly on the basis of race or gender.
In addition, the manual contains specific information on the legality of the Applicant Review under US federal civil rights law, including:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Civil Rights Act of 1991
- Americans with Disabilities Act
- Age Discrimination in Employment Act
- Executive Order 11246
A version of the Applicant Review is also available that is compliant with Canadian law and is available in English and French Canadian. The Applicant Review has not been validated for use outside of the United States and Canada and therefore we do not recommend such use for employment purposes.
Standards For Educational And Psychological Testing
In developing and updating the Applicant Review, IntegriView has made a concerted effort to adhere to the Standards For Educational And Psychological Testing developed by the American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association and the National Council on Measurement in Education.
