Employees Steal More Than $19 billion A Year From U.S. Retailers

According to the latest National Retail Security Survey, retailers in the U.S. attributed 47% of their inventory shrinkage to employee theft. According to the survey, theft by internal employees continues to be the largest single source of inventory shortage for the retail industry, well above shoplifting and vendor fraud.
